High Altitude

Colorado Springs is over 6000 feet above sea level.  Be sure to drink plenty of fluids to avoid altitude sickness.

Getting Here

The closest airport is COS (Colorado Springs). The hotel has a free shuttle from COS.  You can also fly into DEN (Denver - about 1 hour 30 minutes drive) and rent a car or get a shuttle (www.coloradoshuttle.com is one choice).

• Garden of the Gods
  These beautiful rock formations are completely free to the public and can be viewed from your car or along the several hiking trails around the park. Excellent for hiking and technical rock climbing.
• Pikes Peak
  The most famous peak in Colorado, it is best known for inspiring the song “America the Beautiful”. This peak, with a maximum altitude of over 14 thousand feet above sea level, can be ascended by car ($12/person or $40/car), train ($33/person) or hiked.
• Royal Gorge Bridge and Park
