Research Intern on Computer Vision and Machine Learning

The video team at the United Technologies Research Center (UTRC ) has an immediate three-month intern opening in the area of Computer Vision and Machine Learning. Longer period may be possible as necessary.

The candidate is expected to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, multinational team environment focused on innovation, and develop state-of-the-art algorithms for object/event recognition, with minimum guidance of UTRC technical staff. The outcome could be papers in top conferences or journals in Computer Vision.

Required:

o         Outstanding track records in object detection and tracking, object recognition, and/or activity and event recognition.

o         Has strong background in machine learning/mathematics, and is familiar with recent development in Compressive Sensing

o         M.S./Ph.D candidate in Computer Science,  Electrical or Computer Engineering.

o         Quick prototyoping using Matlab or C/C++
