Nvidia has been climbing ladders with Mobile silicon for tablets and smartphones with its Tegra chips.
The Kal-El (T30) announced at the MWC 2011 was the first quadcore chip to be introduced for mobile and is a big success.
Following an aggressive strategy with the hardware , Nvidia is also foraying into Computer Vision for mobile as a field that can utilize all the processing power of the upcoming Tegra chips with intriguing applications. We are looking for passionate people for internship in the Mobile Computer Vision team.
Exploring Computer vision and computational photography applications like gesture recognition , Augmented reality and other advanced camera and video camera functions that end users will be excited about using on their smartphones and tablets is a part of the research element at the team.
The other part involves working on a blend of algorithms for these compelling mobile vision applications and their optimized development on the Tegra hardware making for an attractive demo. All in all, it is a really exciting role working on Computer Vision algorithms and demoing it on cool tablets and smartphones.
