RESPONSIBILITIES
As a researcher and engineer in a small fast paced team, this individual will need to be able to take ideas quickly from brainstorming through software prototype and test. The candidate will also need to work closely with a team to deliver technology to customers and partners. The technology focus will be digital watermarking and context understanding which span image and signal processing, information theory, security issues, along with camera (especially cell phones), print and scan environments. Strong verbal and written communication skills will be a key success factor. Limited travel will be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- MS or PhD in electrical or computer engineering with an emphasis on image and/or signal processing (math, physics or equivalent degrees will be considered if combined with significant image or signal processing experience)
- A track record of successful research related to image processing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality results on time
- Experienced in MatLab and C/C++
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
- Familiarity with watermarking
- Familiarity with multimedia (audio, video, imaging, print) technologies
- Embedded systems skills (Firmware, DSP, Hardware design, SystemC, HDL)
- Curiosity and diverse technical interests/skills
