Position: Entry Level Algorithms Engineer

Job Description:
The WIN algorithms group operates in the very challenging environment of the rapidly evolving semiconductor industry. The group designs and develops cutting edge image processing and machine learning algorithms. The group also implements system level solutions to push the limits of sensitivity on these inspection systems. The designs and implementations are always constrained to operate with the boundaries of robustness and stability. Furthermore, the real time requirements pose additional challenges. The WIN algorithms group also works extensively on providing solutions to live customer problems in the field.
Qualifications/Education Desired:
This group is looking for an extremely talented candidate with the following skills -
(1) Very strong problem analysis and solving skills
(2) Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies
(3) Strong programming skills in MATLAB and C/C++ on Linux and Windows platform
(4) Knowledge of image processing algorithms is preferred
(5) Mathematical and Statistical modeling and algorithm development background
(6) Enthusiasm and energetic personality
(7) Excellent communication skills

This position is unique as it interfaces with several system level groups - Optics, mechanics, sensors, and applications among others. The opportunities are boundless in the technical areas as we are constantly pushing the envelope of leading edge technologies in algorithms and image computers. We are also constantly pursuing system level solutions for these complex automated inspection platforms. We are constantly innovating and releasing products every few months. If there is a strong leadership potential, then we intend to develop that and help the candidate grow in that direction as well.

Basic Qualifications
Ph.D. in the field of Electrical Engineering, Physics or Applied Math is preferred.
